Giddings is the county capital and seat of the county seat of Lee County in the US state of Texas in the United States .

The city is located in the south of the county on US Highway 290 and US Highway 77 , about 80 km east of Austin and 165 km west of Houston in southeastern Texas and has a total area of ​​13.4 km², of which 0.1 km² is water is.
