Lars Engelbrecht

Lars Engelbrecht (* 1978 in Kassel ) is a German children's book author , illustrator and musician .

Life

Engelbrecht grew up in Goslar-Oker am Harz. From 1995 to 2005 he was the singer and songwriter of the medieval rock band Moskote , with whom he released three albums. In 2012, the album No beautiful sand followed with the folk rock band No violin.

Engelbrecht works as a Protestant deacon and social pedagogue . Since 2014 he has published children's books and works as a radio play producer. His stories, which often tell of the experiences of the North German "Gretzos", are intended to encourage children to think and ask questions.
