Lars Kützing

Lars Kützing (born January 17, 1970 in Mainz ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 2009 to 2011 he was a member of the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate.

Kützing attended primary school in Mainz-Hechtsheim from 1976 to 1980 . He then went to Gutenberg Gymnasium (Mainz) until 1989 , where he graduated from high school. From 1989 to 1994 he completed a degree in civil engineering at the TH Darmstadt . Until 1996 he then worked as an employee of an engineering office. From 1996 to 1998 he was a research assistant at the Institute for Solid Construction and Building Material Technology at the University of Leipzig . After completing his dissertation in 1999, he worked as a freelance civil engineer. He has been a publicly appointed and sworn expert since 2004. He is the managing director of IBC Ingenieurbau-Consult GmbH, which has received orders from Wohnbau Mainz and other municipal companies for projects such as the Mainz Provision Office, Theater Mainz, Römerpassage Mainz, Fort Malakoff. Kützing became a member of the SPD in 1987. In 1999 he became a member of the board of the SPD Mainz. From 2007 to 2009 he was a board member of the Initiative Römisches Mainz. From July 27, 2009 to 2011, he was a member of the state parliament when he replaced Alexander Schweitzer . In the state parliament he was a full member of the legal committee.
