Lars Ranch
Lars Ranch (* 1965 in Copenhagen , Denmark ) is a Danish solo trumpeter .
He began taking trumpet lessons with his father, Finn Ranch, at an early age , was accepted into the Tivoli Guard and shortly afterwards committed to solo assignments.
Ranch was trained by Ole Andersen and Kurt Pedersen in Copenhagen and Pierre Thibaud in Paris . Ranch has won several competition awards. His first engagement was at L'orchestre des Prix in Paris.
In 1989 he was employed as deputy solo trumpeter with the Philharmonic State Orchestra Bremen and two years later as solo trumpeter with the Philharmonic State Orchestra Hamburg .
Lars Ranch has held the same position at the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra since 1994 .
Ranch is co-founder of the sponsorship concerts in the Ordenshaus Berlin (Great State Lodge of the Freemasons of Germany) and of the sponsorship fund of the same name for young talented musicians.
He has played as a soloist with the Israel Chamber Orchestra , the Presidential Symphony Orchestra in Ankara , the Magdeburg Philharmonic and the Weimar State Orchestra .
Ranch has been a lecturer at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg since 2005 .
