Lars Rohwer

Lars Rohwer (born February 1, 1972 in Dresden ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He is a member of the Saxon State Parliament for the constituency of Dresden 6 .
Life
After graduating from the Dresdner Kreuzschule in 1990 and doing civilian service, he began studying at Dresdner Bank AG in 1991 and completed his apprenticeship as a banker in 1993 . From 1994 to 1998, Lars Rohwer worked as a financial advisor at Dresdner Bank in Dresden, Görlitz and Freiberg.
Rohwer lives in Dresden, is married and has two children.
Lars Rohwer has been chairman of the German Red Cross in Dresden since January 30, 2012, first vice-president of Dresdner SC since November 2013, and chairman of the Friends' Association of the Kreuzkirche since March 2014 , as well as chairman of the Dresden Cross Choir Foundation and president of the Saxon State Association for Health Promotion (SLfG).

politics
Rohwer joined the CDU in 1990 and held various political junior posts until 1995. In 1990/91 he was chairman of the JU district association in East Saxony. On January 24, 1991 he replaced Joachim Dirschka for the first time as a member of the Saxon state parliament. At the end of the first electoral term he resigned from the state parliament in 1994, to which he returned on November 12, 1998 as a replacement for Arnold Vaatz , who was elected to the Bundestag . From 1998 to 2004 he was youth policy spokesman and from 2009 to 2011 financial policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group in the Saxon state parliament. Furthermore, Lars Rohwer was chairman of the committee for schools and sport from 2004 to 2009. In the years from 2005 to 2011 he also held the office of district chairman of the CDU Dresden. From 2002 to 2015 he was chairman of the board of trustees of the Saxon State Center for Political Education . Initially, Rohwer dealt with youth and education policy as well as finance and budget policy. Since the 6th legislative period, finance and budget policy as well as economic policy have been core areas of activity of his state parliament work. He is the spokesman for his group for energy policy and digital development.
