The Saxon State Center for Political Education (SLpB) is a non-partisan state institution for political education in Saxony . The Saxon State Ministry of Justice and Democracy, Europe and Equality is responsible for overseeing the SLpB .
history
The Saxon State Center for Political Education started its work on July 1, 1991 by resolution of the Saxon State Government. Since March 1992 the regional headquarters has been housed in the former Schützenhof in Dresden- Trachau . The SLpB is an institution under public law that has no legal capacity and has been part of the Saxon State Ministry of Culture since 1995. Its political education work is based on the administrative regulation of the Ministry of Culture on the "Tasks and Organization of the State Center for Political Education" of July 17, 2000. The work of the SLpB is based on the free-democratic basic order and the Beutelsbach consensus . According to the order, the SLpB works non-partisan. A board of trustees made up of ten experts and eleven members of the state parliament is to ensure that the work of the state headquarters is non-partisan.
