Las Cumbres is a town in Uruguay .

geography

It is located in the Maldonado department in sector 1 . Las Cumbres is located in the south of the Sierra de la Ballena , north of Punta Ballena . The Laguna del Sauce extends to the west .

Infrastructure

Las Cumbres is on Ruta 12 . The intersection with the Ruta Interbalnearia / Ruta 93 is around eight kilometers to the south. The Capitán de Corbeta Carlos A. Curbelo airport is a few kilometers to the west .

Residents

Las Cumbres had 14 inhabitants in 2011, six of them male and eight female. In 2004 the place with its six inhabitants was after Arenas de José Ignacio (2004: four inhabitants) the smallest settlement in the department.
