Lasar Abramovich Shazkin
Lasar Abramowitsch Schazkin ( Russian Лазарь Абрамович Шацкин ; * 1902 , † January 10, 1937 in Moscow ) was a Soviet party official .
Schatzkin joined the Bolsheviks before the October Revolution . He fought in the Russian Civil War and was involved in founding communist youth organizations. From 1919 to 1921 he was chairman of the Communist Youth International . In the 30s he went into opposition to Stalin . In 1935 he was arrested and in 1937 he fell victim to the Stalinist purges .
