The Lasarew Ice Shelf is an approximately 80 km long ice shelf off the Princess Astrid coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It lies between Leningradskiy Island and Werbljud Island .

The first aerial photographs and maps were taken during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of Alfred Ritscher . Members of a Soviet Antarctic expedition undertook further explorations in 1959. It was named after the Russian admiral Michail Lasarew (1788-1851), participant of the first Russian Antarctic expedition (1819-1821) under Fabian Gottlieb von Bellingshausen .
