Lasse Weritz (born May 30, 1986 in Cuxhaven ) is a German politician ( CDU ), mayor of the city of Hemmoor and member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Education, work and family

Weritz graduated from high school in 2006 at the BBS Cuxhaven. He then completed a teaching degree at the University of Hildesheim . After his successful legal clerkship , he accepted a position at the Osteschule in Hemmoor.

Weritz is Protestant , is married and has a son.

politics

Weritz became a member of the Junge Union (JU) in 2003 , and in the same year he was elected chairman of the JU Hemmoor-Börde Lamstedt. After four years as educational policy spokesman for the Lower Saxony JU regional association, he became its deputy regional chairman in 2015. In the CDU, he has been a member of the Samtgemeindeverbandsverbands Hemmoor since 2003, where he took over the chairmanship in 2013, he is also in the CDU district committee Cuxhaven (deputy district chairman) and in the CDU district association Elbe / Weser board member and honorary member of the JU in the district of Cuxhaven.

In 2011 he was first in the district council elected Cuxhaven, where it is from 2013, Deputy Chairman of the CDU district council faction. Since 2016 he has also been the mayor of the city of Hemmoor and chairman of the CDU / Citizens' Forum group in the council of the Hemmoor municipality .

In the Lower Saxony state elections in 2017 , he won the direct mandate in the Geestland constituency .
