Jutta Bobbe

Jutta Bobbe (* 1970 in Hildesheim ) is a contemporary German artist who has made a name for herself with her paintings and drawings, especially in China .

Live and act

Jutta Bobbe grew up in Derneburg . She received the very first impetus to turn to painting through the close friendship with Georg Baselitz 's sons, which gave her temporary access to the studio from their father. She studied costume design and painting at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences . In 1995 she moved to Berlin . Her art career begins with costume designs for opera, theater and television. In 2005 she made her first trip to China. Since 2007 she has lived and worked alternately as a freelance artist in Berlin-Kreuzberg and in Beijing , there in a studio near the 798 art area. She is in a relationship with the Chinese installation artist Yuan Shun .

She went through all sorts of pictorial influences, from Cubism , Fauvism , Neo-Expressionism to Surrealism , before finding her own visual language.
