Laszlo Lakfalvi

Laszlo Lakfalvi (born November 21, 1931 , † January 2, 2010 ) was a Hungarian basketball coach .

career

Lakfalvi came to the Federal Republic of Germany from his Hungarian homeland in 1956 , in 1961 he wrote a diploma thesis at the Sport University in Cologne entitled "The historical development of Hungarian athletics up to the beginning of modern times". He later worked as a lecturer at the University of Darmstadt . In his four-year tenure as trainer of MTV 1846 Gießen (1966-1970), the qualified sports teacher led Central Hesse to win the German championship title in 1967 and 1968 and in 1969 to win the DBB Cup.

In 1970 Lakfalvi went to Munich and became a trainer for USC Munich. In 1971 he led the USC to the German runner-up. He remained in office as the team's coach for ten years, after which he also worked as a coach for DJK Sportbund Munich.

As part of the Olympic basketball tournament at the 1972 Summer Games in Munich , Lakfalvi was a member of the staff in the arcade as evaluator.

In 1969 he published the book “Basketball. Technology, tactics, training, competition. "
