The Latham peak a mountaintop in East Antarctic Enderbyland . It rises from the Antarctic Ice Sheet 26 km southeast of Cape Ann and 13 km northwest of Mount Marr .
The mountain was discovered in January 1930 by participants in the British Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (1929-1930) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson . This named him after the Australian politician John Latham (1877-1964), Australian Foreign Minister between 1931 and 1934 and later chief judge at the High Court of Australia .
