Chiara Olivieri (born September 9, 1979 in Negrar ) is an Italian curler .

Career

Olivieri played for the first time internationally in the Curling Junior Challenge 2001, the then qualifying tournament for the Junior World Championship . As the lead in the team led by Diana Gaspari , she came in third place. In the same year she played for the first time at the European Championship, again under Diana Gaspari. Further European championships followed in changing positions. She achieved the best placement at the 2017 European Championships , where she won the bronze medal as a substitute with the Italian women's team. In 2006 she won the silver medal at the Mixed European Championship . She took part in the world championship several times; the best placement she achieved in 2004 with a ninth place as a substitute player.

In November 2017, she moved into the final against China with Diana Gaspari's Italian team as a substitute in the qualifying tournament for the 2018 Winter Olympics , but lost the game against Wang Bingyu's team . Since the game for the second qualifying place against the team from Denmark around Denise Dupont was lost, she missed participation in the games in Pyeongchang .

Private life

Olivieri is married and works as a secretary.
