The Latok IV is a 6456 m high mountain in the Panmah Muztagh in the Karakoram .
location
It is a summit of the Latok group . It is located 3.61 km southeast of Latok III . A 5680 m high saddle separates the two mountains.
Ascent history
A Japanese group attempted ascent in 1976 was abandoned after the death of a member.
The first ascent was finally made in 1980 by the five-person Japanese Sangaku Doshikai expedition. Motomo Ohmiya and Koji Okano reached the summit on July 18. During the descent, both climbers had an accident in a crevasse, but were rescued.
