The Lauchaer Schafberg or Schafberg is a 320.8 meter high forestless elevation in the east of the Lusatian mountainous region . The hill is in the district of Löbauer Kittlitz . At the western foot of the hill is the valley of the buttermilk water . To the south, the railway from Löbau to Bautzen crosses the country road from Nechen to Kittlitz. At the foot of the Schafberg are Carlsbrunn , Kittlitz, Unwürde , Laucha and Munschke . There have been three wind turbines at the summit since 2009 and four since 2010, some of them from different operators.
