Lye cook
Lauge Koch (born July 5, 1892 in Kærby near Kalundborg , † June 5, 1964 in Copenhagen ) was a Danish geologist, polar explorer and university professor.
Koch accompanied Knud Rasmussen on his second Thule expedition (1916–1918) as a geologist and cartographer. After an expedition to North Greenland (1920–1923) he made a complete map of the coasts of Greenland. In 1921 he was the first person to set foot on the Kaffeklubben Island off the North Greenland coast .
In 1935 he was elected a corresponding member of the Académie des sciences .
