The Launch Rock (from English launch 'barge' ) is an undersea reef rock off the southern end of the Adelaide Island west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is southwest of the Glover Rocks .

The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1964 after an unnamed launch of the British research vessel RRS John Biscoe , which had been used for hydrographic surveys in the area in 1963.
