Laura Bazallo , full name María Laura Bazallo , (born January 10, 1983 ) is a Uruguayan athlete .

Career

Bazallo is active in the long distance running competitions. She took part in the 2006 road running world championships in the Hungarian city of Debrecen , where she finished 57th on October 8, 2006 with a personal best of 1:20:58 hours on the 20-kilometer route. In 2009 she became the Uruguayan road champion. Your trainer was Gabriel Umpiérrez . In May 2012, she first improved her own Uruguayan record from 2008 (1:22:35 hours) in the half marathon to 1:21:57 hours in Rosario. In September of the same year, she improved this national record again to 1:20:20 hours. In October 2013 she won the bronze medal at the South American Marathon Championships in a new national record time.

Bazallo is (as of June 15, 2015) the owner of the official Uruguayan national records on the half marathon and marathon route.
