Laura Stahli

Laura Stähli (born December 31, 1991 in Basel ) is a Swiss epee fencer who was national champion several times.

Life

Laura Stähli comes from a fencing family and trains under Manfred Beckmann at the Fechtgesellschaft Basel. She studies biology and French at the University of Basel .

successes

Laura Stähli is multiple Swiss champion, both in epee singles and with the women's team of the Fechtgesellschaft Basel. In 2014 she was voted Basel Sportswoman of the Year. She won bronze at the 2018 World Championships in Wuxi after defeating reigning Olympic champion Emese Szász-Kovács in the quarter-finals . Currently (as of 12/2018) Laura Stähli is in 23rd place in the FIE world rankings.
