Lauren Phoenix (born May 13, 1979 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a former Canadian porn actress of British - Italian descent.

life and career

After working as a stripper in Las Vegas for some time , the six-foot-tall woman moved to California in 2003 to make her debut in porn . Lauren Phoenix, who won the AVN Award in 2005, soon became one of the most prolific actresses in the genre . She has appeared in more than 330 films (mainly in the anal and gonzo genres) and later also worked as a director . She became known to a wider public through an advertising campaign in American Apparel's 2006 winter catalog .

In January 2006, it was reported on the Lauren Phoenix Blog that Phoenix had terminated their contract with Defiance Films after six months in order to be able to make more films and also concentrate on her work as a director behind the camera. She also decided to close down her modeling agency, Lauren Phoenix Agency , which opened in 2005, and return to LA Direct Models. In June 2006 she announced her retirement after just three years.
