Laurent Moutinot (born March 2, 1953 in Geneva , resident in Geneva) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

After the Licentiate of Law at the University of Geneva Moutinot admitted to the Bar diploma. From 1978 to 1997 he then worked as a lawyer .

In 1993 he was elected to the Grand Council of the Canton of Geneva , where he was head of the parliamentary group from 1994 to 1996. On November 16, 1997, he was appointed to the State Council. There he headed the Département de l'aménagement, de l'équipement et du logement and later the Département des institutions . From December 2007 to December 2008 he was President of the State Council. In 2009 he left office.

Moutinot is widowed and has three children. He lives in Bellevue .
