Laurent Parcelier (born November 19, 1962 in Chamalières , France ) is a French author , illustrator and colorist for children's magazines, as well as comic artist and author.

Life

From 1978 to 1980 Laurent Parcelier studied fine arts in Paris, after which he made his first steps with comics in the Triolo magazine . a. together with Didier Convard .

His first major comic series, La Malédiction des 7 Boules Vertes , appeared in five albums from 1988 to 1991 by Casterman . The first four albums were released from 1992 to 1993 by Carlsen Comics under the title The Curse of the 7 Green Balls in German. In it, the young protagonist Julian experiences many adventures with magicians, witches, but also revolutionaries on his travels through a fantasy world.

His second series, Guilio Et Le Drôle De Monde , with the same hero, appeared in two albums with Casterman from 1995 to 1996. Le Lutin Farceur , released in 1993, is sometimes included in this series.

With his style, Parcelier is a typical representative of the Ligne claire .
