Laurent Wolf (* 1971 in Toulouse as Laurent Debuire ) is a French DJ and house producer.

biography

Wolf started as a DJ in Paris in 1989 and was hired by the Queen Club on Paris' Champs Élysées in 1992 , where he became resident DJ. He also worked as a remixer for music publishers and eventually set up his own recording studio. In 1995 he produced his first own number 1 club hit with House Train . Further successes such as House Scream and CIE followed.

In 2001, Wolf founded the Darkness label and the Afrodynamic and Ritmodynamic sub- labels together with the music producer Christian Lester . In the same year his first remix album Le Privé was released there . His first album with his own songs was Sunshine Paradise in 2003 . It contained the titles Saxo and Calinda , which were successful far beyond France and which were sold as records over 250,000 times worldwide. With both the single Saxo and the album, he also reached positions in the official French charts for the first time.

In addition to the worldwide appearances that followed, Laurent Wolf continued to produce albums and was able to further increase his success with Hollyworld and the hit single Another Brick . He achieved the big coup in April 2008 when he became number 1 in France and Belgium with the title No Stress and also reached the top 10 in Switzerland and the Netherlands . In 2008 he received the World Music Award in the USA in the "Best DJ" category.
