Laurent de La Hyre
Laurent de La Hyre (* 27. February 1606 in Paris ; † 28. December 1656 ) was a French painter of the Baroque .
He was a pupil of Georges Lallemant and studied the work of Francesco Primaticcio at Fontainebleau Castle . With Simon Vouet he introduced the baroque style of painting in France.
La Hyre was a founding member of the Académie royale de peinture et de sculpture in 1648 .
