Lauri icons
Lauri Ilmari Ikonen (born August 10, 1888 in Mikkeli , † March 21, 1966 in Helsinki ) was a Finnish composer .
Ikonen studied from 1906 to 1910 at the University, the Music Institute and the Orchestra School of Helsinki and was then a student of Paul Juon in Berlin . He worked as a composition teacher at the Viipuri Conservatory , employee of a music magazine and finally secretary of the Finnish Association of Musicians.
He composed six symphonies , three suites , a cello and a piano concerto, chamber music, choral works, piano pieces and songs .
