Lautenschläger research award
The Lautenschläger Research Prize is a prize that has been awarded every two years at Heidelberg University since 2001 to “outstanding scientists who are active in research”. It is endowed with 250,000 euros and is aimed at all areas of science. The prize is awarded to “internationally recognized scientists from Heidelberg University” or foreign scientists who “are connected to Heidelberg University in scientific cooperation”. The award was donated by Manfred Lautenschläger , who is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MLP AG . Lautenschläger has also been an Honorary Senator of Heidelberg University since 1998.
