Content

Works and artists as well as individual developments in sound poetry and sound music after 1945 are documented extensively in the work.

The detailed history of definitions is followed in the first volume by a description of phonetic poetry in German-speaking countries oriented towards the history of music and literature, but without neglecting developments in other European countries or treating them completely separately. In particular, the extensive section on Lettrism in France is considered almost pioneering work within research on the subject.

Volume 2 then offers a collection of individual analyzes of important representatives, e.g. B. Carlfriedrich Claus , Bob Cobbing , Paul de Vree , Franz Mon , Josef Anton Riedl or Gerhard Rühm .

The appendix contains a bibliography, discography and filmography on the book topic.
