Paul de Vree
Paul de Vree (born November 13, 1909 in Antwerp , Belgium , † April 25, 1982 ibid) was a Flemish painter , graphic artist and writer .
Life
In the post-war period, the Belgian artist and poet Paul de Vree was one of the first representatives of concrete poetry and sound poetry with Ernst Jandl , Christian Morgenstern and Kurt Schwitters . Numerous sound poems by Paul de Vree were recorded in a recording studio in Utrecht. He was the co-founder of several magazines, including Die Tafelrunde , which appeared from 1953 to 1981. He was a member of the Maatschappij der Nederlandse Letterkunde , the PEN poets essayists novelists, the Vereniging van Vlaamse Letterkundigen and the Paul van Ostaijen Cooperative .
