The Lavesmühle is a monument in the municipality of Wennigsen (Deister) . It is in the village of Bredenbeck on the manor of the barons Knigge . It is a replacement built in 1860 for a previously existing mill with wheel and drive mechanism. It got its name because the Hanoverian court architect Georg Ludwig Friedrich Laves planned the entire estate and also designed the plans for the construction of the mill. The water-powered mill was fed by the stream of the Bredenbecker Beeke, a source river of the Ihme .
