Lawrence John Sichalwe

Lawrence John Sichalwe (born December 24, 1961 ) is a Zambian politician of the Patriotic Front (PF).

Life

Sichalwe, who worked as an entrepreneur, was elected for the first time as a member of the National Assembly of Zambia in a by-election in 2015 as a candidate for the Patriotic Front (PF) in the constituency of Chawama and was re-elected in the election on August 11, 2016. He was first backbencher and then from September to October 2015 a member of the Committee on Local Government, Housing and Chief Affairs, before he was Vice Minister in October 2015 in the office of Vice President Inonge Wina .

In September 2016, President Edgar Lungu appointed him Minister for Chiefs and Traditional Affairs in his cabinet .
