Lawrence Ogwang

Lawrence Ogwang (born December 17, 1932 ) is a former Ugandan long and triple jumper .

At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in 1954 he was sixth in the triple jump and was eliminated with the Ugandan 4-by-110-yard relay in the preliminary run.

In 1956 he came at the Olympic Games in Melbourne in the triple jump to 20th place and was eliminated in the long jump in the qualification.

In 1958 he was seventh in the triple jump and 13th in the long jump at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff . Four years later he was ninth in the triple jump at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth in 1962 .

His brother John Akii-Bua became Olympic champion in the 400 m hurdles in 1972.
