Le Roichail is a 3,022 meter high mountain in the Dauphiné Alps in the Isère department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in France . Its reputation as the westernmost three-thousand-meter peak in the Alps gives it fame . To the north lies the small glacier Glacier du Rochail , of which the Glacier Rampant , which is also shown on the map, only insignificant remains can be seen in the current aerial photo . The Refuge Communal des Sources refuge is located in the cirque north of the mountain.
