Le château de sable (Eng: The Sandcastle ) is a 1977 Canadian animated short film directed by Co Hoedeman .
action
In a desert , the wind forms the sand in waves. A male fights his way out of a dune to the surface. It forms various strange creatures out of sand, such as a snail-like creature, figures resembling worms or starfish, but also two human-like creatures that only consist of a head and two arms. He discusses his plan with everyone: He wants to build a large sand castle . Together they get to work and everyone uses their means to create towers, walls, windows, paths and doors. In the end the work is done and the builders cheer.
Suddenly there is a sand storm . The builders take refuge in their castle, which slowly crumbles under the wind and is finally completely buried under sand.
