Lecciones y Ensayos is a student journal ( Law Review ) published by the Law School of the University of Buenos Aires . It is one of the few legal journals in Argentina that is based on the model of US law reviews; That is, it is one of those legal journals that are directed by students.

Lecciones y Ensayos is divided into academic articles written by faculty graduates, professors, and lawyers, and essays written by students. It is also possible to complete the publication with interviews or comments on legal proceedings.

history

Lecciones y Ensayos was founded in 1956 by Ignacio Winizky , then journalistic director of the Faculty of Law at the University of Buenos Aires. In the first edition he described the aim of the journal as follows:

“Lecciones y Ensayos (...) is the ultimate proof of the deep trust in the Argentine students. The students of the faculty are the readership of this journal. Lecciones y Ensayos aims to fill educational gaps and spread ideas. The journal will guide the students; Students will write them. "

As a result of the Argentine military dictatorship (1976-1983) , the magazine was published for the first time without students. The return to democracy allows the publication to tie in with Winizky's ideas.
