Sweet tooth
Leckermäulchen is with nitrogen foamed milk curd product in different flavors. Today, sweet tooth is produced in Saxony-Anhalt by the frischli Milchwerk Weißenfels GmbH .
Production site
Around 150 employees work at the Weißenfels production site, who help to process around 190,000 tonnes of milk annually into various dairy products in addition to the sweet tooth. In the past few years, frischli Milchwerke GmbH has invested around 5.9 million euros in the Weißenfels location.
History of the sweet tooth
Sweet tooth was developed in the GDR in 1977/1978 and sold for the first time in December 1979. Originally, the whipped vanilla quark was produced by the Merseburg dairy combine . Later it was produced at the same time in various dairy companies in the GDR. a. in the combine for dairy farming e. G. Suhl . The GDR original was still without nitrogen.
Up until 1989 there were vanilla and lemon flavors . After that, sweet tooth was not produced until 1994. After eastern products regained acceptance, the Weißenfels dairy , which had meanwhile been taken over by frischli Milchwerke , decided in 1995 to bring the product back onto the market in a different packaging and with a new logo as a regional concept for the east. The product, which was already very popular in the GDR, quickly found buyers again without major advertising expenditure. Just one year later, in addition to the vanilla variety, other flavors and later other products were offered under the name “Leckermäulchen”.
After the market expansion to the old federal states in 1998, with a view to conquering the German market as a whole, a brand relaunch took place in the spring of 2006 as a milk quark meal, while the logo was supplemented with the sweet tooth lettering. Since 2007, sweet tooth has also established itself in western Germany.
Since the reintroduction in 1995, frischli has been able to continuously expand its sweet tooth sales. This rose within six years from 22.9 million euros in 2008 to an estimated 26 million euros in 2014. That was around 53 million sweet tooth packs in 2014.
Sweet tooth varieties
In 2012, frischli expanded the gourmet assortment, which until then comprised various milk quark meals, to include the small semolina meal made from corn semolina. In the following year, the small semolina meal was expanded to include three more variants, chocolate crispies, strawberry-raspberry and apple-cinnamon. With the presentation of the sweet tooth milk mousse for the turning point anniversary, frischli Milchwerke GmbH produced a milk mousse for the first time in 2014, which has a fresh milk content of up to 57 percent.
Today there is the sweet tooth - as quark, semolina, cream and milk mousse - in a total of 31 different varieties on the refrigerated shelves throughout Germany and is one of the top 3 fruit quark brands in Germany.
80 million cups are produced annually.

Since 2007, the company has been promoting product launches with nationwide television commercials and radio campaigns that are predominantly regionally broadcast, always with the slogan: "Sweet tooth is good for sweet tooth."
