The Ledebur barracks was a barracks in Hildesheim , which was named after the infantry general Leopold von Ledebur .
The 2nd battalion of the infantry regiment "von Voigts-Rhetz" (3rd Hanoverian) No. 79 commanded by its namesake in World War I was originally stationed in the Ledebur barracks . After the end of the Second World War , it was initially used by the British Army of the Rhine until it was handed over to the German Armed Forces in 1959 . This quartered an armored infantry battalion there . After the dissolution of the Bundeswehr a location for Hildesheim new built on the site Klinikum Hildesheim and a medical center .
