Lee Dickson

Lee Dickson (* before 1976 Glasgow ) is a Scottish electrician , guitarist , lighting technician , mechanic and songwriter . The Scot became known as the guitar technician of Eric Clapton .

Life

Dickson grew up in Glagow and followed popular rock bands like the Average White Band during his youth . When he came to England in 1976 , Dickson worked as a lighting technician on Eric Clapton's touring team until he was promoted to Clapton's guitar technician during a performance in Japan in December 1979 . Before leaving Clapton in 2009, Dickson worked for Clapton for 30 years.
