Lee Min-woo, 2015

Lee Min-woo (born July 28, 1979 ) is a South Korean singer and a member of the oldest active South Korean boy band Shinhwa . While a student at JunJoo Fine Arts School, he was discovered by an SM Entertainment talent scout while performing in an Everland dance competition with his dance troupe Dicky Ducky. He was selected as the fourth member for Shinhwa. He was also involved in all 8 of Shinhwa's albums and is still part of the band now.

In 2003 he started his solo career under the stage name M. There he released three studio albums (Un-touch-able, 2winds & Explore M), a single (If you ...) and a mini album (The Sentimental Reason).

Solo career

2003-2004

In late 2003, while taking a break from Shinhwa's activities, M started his solo career. He promoted his debut album Un-touch-able . The first single from it was "Just One Night", which showed M from a completely different angle. The song was pretty successful and you could tell that he put a lot of energy into his solo career. His second single BiYa wasn't quite as successful. In 2004 he stopped promoting his album and returned to Shinhwa to record the band's 7th album.

2005

After the success of Shinhwa's album, M returned to his solo career and released the single If you ... in March 2005, but after Shinhwa's member Shin Hye Sung released his solo album, M stopped promoting "If you" because he wasn't involved Hyesung wanted to compete.

In autumn 2005 M was ready for his comeback. Lee released his second album called II winds , which was available in two versions. Minwoo came back with a toned body and sexy image. M used the new image for his new single "Bump". After the success of "Bump", the record company Good Entertainment decided to release another edition of the album.

2006

At the beginning of 2006 he had his first solo concert, which was also released on DVD in the summer of 2006 (M's Girlfriend Live Concert 2006). He also made his first film called Wontak's Angel aka Holy Daddy (also released on DVD). At the end of the year, he released their first single together with the South Korean singer Sat.

2007

In 2007 he went on tour again (Liveworks Tour), this time with concerts in Japan. His M Liveworks 2006,2007 CD was released in March . On May 7th, Minwoo started his own company called M Rising . He was also selected to be her support act at Christina Aguilera's concert (in Seoul on June 24th). His third album Explore M was, to the annoyance of Minwoo, put on the Internet for download a few days before its release. Ms record company filed for legal action against it. There were also some difficulties printing the album, on July 12th the album was officially released and a few days later you could admire the MV for the single Stomp . M's streak of bad luck continued. The planned concerts in China had to be canceled because the organizer had no approval for the concerts. M was also said to have copied some songs and choreographic steps. The music video for The 'M' Style was released at the end of September . Lee Min Woo founded his own fashion brand Wolf M , which sells baseball caps in different designs, whereby the individual designs are limited to 1000 pieces. On September 28th, M released a new live DVD ( Live concert 2006-2007: 'M' Live Works ), and on October 4th, Explore M was released again as a repackage version. On December 23rd and 24th he gave another club concert.

2008

Explore M was released a third time on February 6th , this time only in Japan as a Japanese version. Thereafter, on 10 and 11 February Minwoo gave two concerts at the Tokyo International Forum in Japan, these were the last concerts for promotion Explore M . Just a few days later, his first mini-album, The Sentimental Reason , was released on Valentine's Day (February 14th) . To mark the release of the mini-album, there were two Valentine's Day concerts (on February 16 and 17).
