Leenders Bay Leenders

Leenders / Bay / Leenders is a trio of authors who have been publishing detective novels since 1992, the plot of which is mainly set on the Lower Rhine or in the vicinity of the city of Kleve . The main characters are police officers. The novels were initially published by Grafit Verlag and since 2002 by Rowohlt Verlag . Books accompanying the novels are published by Mercator-Verlag .

In 2018, Hiltrud Leenders and Pfaffs Hof published a description of a childhood on the Lower Rhine in the early 1960s.

Life

Hiltrud Leenders, born in Nierswalde in 1955, died in 2018, initially worked as a translator and later made a name for herself as a poet. She was the mother of two sons and has been a full-time writer since 1990.

Michael Bay, born in Rheine in 1955 , works as a qualified psychologist and psychotherapist. He is married and has three children. Michael Bay is also active in local politics and belongs to the council of the city of Kleve for Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen .

Artur Leenders, born in Meerbusch in 1954, died in 2020, worked as a trauma surgeon in Kalkar . He was married to Hiltrud Leenders for over 21 years and was the father of the two boys. Like Bay, he was active in local politics and was also a member of the City of Kleve for Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen.
