Leger des Heils , also known by the abbreviation LDH , is a German music project . Musically, the band moves between the styles Neofolk and Martial Industrial .

History and style

Leger des Heils was founded by MABaal around the turn of the millennium. The name is borrowed from the Dutch branch of the same name of the Salvation Army . Leger des Heils started as a purely electronic music project. In the meantime, the band is also increasingly relying on acoustic guitars and has thus developed from their earlier martial-industrial influences to predominantly neo-folk with neoclassical and electronic influences.

In addition to own English and German-language texts dealing with mystical, occult and religious topics, poems by Henrik Ibsen , Joseph von Eichendorff and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe were set to music.
