The Lego Prize is supported by the Danish Lego Foundation ( Lego Foundation ) at the annual Lego Idea Conference in Billund awarded to individuals, organizations and institutions that make an important contribution to the improvement of living conditions of children and for learning by playing stand.

history

The prize was first awarded in 1985 as an annual award for special efforts in the interests of children. It was endowed with 750,000 Danish kroner (approx. 100,800 euros), since 1989 with 1,000,000 kroner. It is now endowed with 100,000 US dollars (approx. 84,400 euros).

Award winners

From 1998 to 2007 there were no winners. The prize has been awarded at irregular intervals since 2008.
