Lehnepark in Berlin-Tempelhof

The Lehnepark is located in the Berlin district of Tempelhof between Parkstrasse and Tempelhofer Damm . It is named after the landowner Wilhelm Lehne (1836–1910), who died in Tempelhof.

Design

It is a relatively small park, separated from the much larger Old Park by a path . In the middle there is a small pond, the Wilhelmsteich . Like the Klarensee in the neighboring Alten Park, it emerged from a dead ice hole .

The park is popular with runners because it offers extensive terrain in conjunction with the Alten Park, Franckepark and Bose Park .
