Leichtmatrose is an indie rock band from Hamburg. It consists of the musicians Andreas Stitz, Thomas Fest and Rick J Jordan .

history

Ordinary seaman (2018)

Andreas Stitz from Münster, who works full-time as a probation officer , was an instrumentalist in various bands. In 2005, the first songs of the ordinary seaman were created as a solo project , which he uploaded to the Internet platform Myspace in 2007 . Joachim Witt became aware of him. He established contact with record companies and thus enabled the production of the first album Stranded (2009), which was released by Ferryhouse / Warner . Keyboarder Rick J. Jordan has been involved as a music producer and live bassist since the beginning of 2018 .

In 2019, ordinary sailors played in the opening act of the German synth-pop singer Peter Heppner on his Confessions & Doubts Tour .
