Leif Enger
Leif Inge Thormod Enger (born September 5, 1900 in Christiania , † November 11, 1977 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian actor , theater director , composer and singer .
Life
Enger was the son of Ola L. Enger and Jenny Andrea Enger. He made his film debut in 1923 in Strandhugg på Kavringen . Enger had numerous appearances in Norwegian films and starred in over 20 productions from 1923 to 1970. He had his most famous appearances in the films Operasjon Løvsprett , Hunger and Englandsfarere . He had his penultimate appearance in the film series about the Norwegian Olsen Gang in their first film Olsen Gang and most recently in 1970 in Balladen om mestertyven Ole Høiland , a film adaptation of the biography of the Norwegian bank robber and thief Ole Høiland .
Enger also worked on several broadcasts at the Radioteatret (radio theater). He was also active as a composer at Trøndelag Teater and at the Studio Theater, and as a theater actor at Oslo Nye Teater . Together with Thorleif Reiss he was part of the Norwegian singing and sketch duo Pitt og Pott . For some time he was also the theater director at Carl Johan-Teatret .
