Leighton Hope

Leighton Hope (born November 4, 1952 in Kingston , Jamaica ) is a former Canadian sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .

At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, he came in fourth in the final of the 4 x 400 meter relay with Ian Seale , Don Domansky and Brian Saunders , with the Canadian quartet setting the current national record with 3: 02.64 minutes .

In 1971 he became Canadian champion. He set his personal best of 46.79 s in 1979.
