Leila Françoise Lassouani (born July 29, 1977 in France ) is an Algerian- French weightlifter .

Career

Leila Lassouani took part in the 2008 Summer Olympics for Algeria , but could not finish the competition. She also took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics and 2004 Summer Olympics, placing 14th in the up to 58kg category in 2000 and seventh in the up to 63kg category in 2004. She won two gold medals at the African Championships in 2006 and 2008 with 205 kg.

Then she went to France. At the European Championships in 2010 , she was eighth. At the world championships in the same year she was tested positive in the doping control and banned for two years.
