The Leipziger Straße 28a building is a listed residential and commercial building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located on the west side of Leipziger Strasse in Magdeburg's Leipziger Strasse district . To the north is the listed building at Leipziger Straße 28 and to the south by Leipziger Straße 29 .

Architecture and history

The four and a half storey building was built by master bricklayer H. Krumsieg in 1889. Krumsieg was also the owner. The facade of the plastered brick building is designed in the neo-renaissance style. The facade is rusticated on the ground floor and first floor . The windows are arranged in pairs, with the pairs on the second and third floors being partially spanned by triangular gables or segmental arches. In front of the three upper floors there are a total of six balconies in a symmetrical arrangement. The house has a mezzanine floor .

In the local register of monuments , the residential and commercial building is listed as a historical building under registration number 094 76839 .

The building is considered to be significant in terms of urban planning in the context of the Wilhelminian style .
