location

The ladder cave is located on the northeast slope of the Kugelstein a little below the plateau edge and a little north of the Kugelstein cave III . Access to the cave is possible via a ledge coming from the southwest or via a ladder about 5 meters long.

description

The approximately 24 meter long ladder cave has a 3.7 meter wide and 2 meter high entrance. The ascending vestibule of the cave faces southwest. In the north, an erosion tunnel connects to the vestibule, which after a short time divides into two separate corridors. The right passage runs in a northeasterly direction and ends in a second day opening . The left, steeply sloping corridor runs in a south-westerly direction and ends just below the forest floor of the plateau.

The cave floor consists largely of dry cave clay. In the rear, higher part of the ladder cave you will find sinter and stalactite jewelry .
