history
The place name goes back to the original Slavic * Bystrica (torrent, stream with clear water). The name Deutschfeistritz was created to differentiate itself from Slovenska Bistrica ( German : Windisch-Feistritz ), a small town and municipality in Slovenia .
There was a mine near Deutschfeistritz which mainly mined lead and zinc. 1765 was his most successful year with 116 kg of silver, about 22 tons of lead and about 104 tons of black lead. Mining stopped at the beginning of the 20th century.
